Great products and quick service. I vacuum seal a variety of bulk dried food items for long term storage, and only use high-quality 5 MIL Mylar bags and the O2 absorbers from Discount Mylar Bags. I vacuum seal now with confidence using this product, and tell my friends to try them.

I received my mylar bags and the oxygen absorber in the mail and open the package which was Package very neatly with nothing damage..I inspected the bags and found that the bags was a nice thick bag. I was very pleased with everything and will be ordering more...thank you for a fine product.

I have been vacuum sealing bulk rice and dried beans for years, using name-brand clear plastic rolls to make my own bags. After recently trying the 5 MIL Mylar gallon bags from discountmylarbags.com. , I plan on using use their pre-made Mylar bags, and O2 absorbers, for all future food vacuum sealing.

FOR SEVERAL YEARS I HAVE BEEN USING A TOP NAME-BRAND STANDARD SEALING ROLLS, TO FABRICATE CUSTOM SIZE BAGS, FOR VACUUM PACKING DRY FOODS FOR LONG TERM STORAGE. I FINALLY ORDERED SHIELDPRO 5 MIL MYLAR BAGS TO TRY ON BULK DRIED PINTO BEANS AND MUST SAY "I AM IMPRESSED!! ". I WILL BE ORDERING MORE OF THESE BAGS, AND O2 ABSORBERS, FOR SEALING MY "EMERGENCY USE" DRIED FOODS, AND OTHER ITEMS, IN THE FUTURE.

I've used everything from potato chip bags to vacuum seal bags to thin Mylar bags for food storage. I've finally settled on these. They are much thicker than the standard Mylar bags, and at 1 gallon, more convenient for me than a 5 gallon bag, as I have some muscle issues and moving a huge bucket of food around our food storage area is too much for me. I also like that I can use them in some kitchen canisters I have, so getting flour, sugar, or other essentials from the basement becomes much more convenient, as a full gallon of each can last a long time. For our long term storage, I use 300cc oxygen absorbers (except in sugar), though my husband likes to double up 'just in case'. On our last order, someone at Discount Mylar Bags threw in a pack of 1000cc oxygen absorbers for free, and we were definitely grateful!

This is my second order of Mylar bags and I am so pleased. My first ones were thin but these are so thick. I don't have to worry about my storage poking though these. I seal them right up with my iron. I will be ordering more. This company also has some great blogs to help you with your storage.
