It’s simple really...we have Just Better Bags (and Oxygen Absorbers). And no, that’s not just an advertising slogan. Our bags really are better, and testing shows it. We ranked highest of ALL of our retail competitors on both bags and Oxygen Absorbers.
And not just a little better. Our 7 mil bags rated 30% higher on puncture strength than Top Mylar, Harvest Right and Wallaby 7 or 7.5 mil bags. On Tensile and Burst Strength, we were close to 90% better than Packfresh, Wallaby and Harvest Right.
Why? We are the only food storage company (that we know of) still using Mylar© in our bag construction, which has way better material strength than our cheaper competitors.
If you are only storing a few years, you’ll probably be OK using almost any Mylar bag. But longer than that? Our Oxyfree absorbers rated 35-45% better than Harvest Right, Packfresh and Top Mylar, and almost 400% their rated capacity (our 300cc absorbers rated 1106cc actual). 2 brands tested didn't even meet their rating (Wallaby and Amazon Full-Seal) and 1 had very little excess capacity (Home Sense), barely enough to allow time to open the bag and move the absorbers to Mylar Bags.
The benefits of stronger absorbers are two-fold. First, it means your food will be oxygen free longer, giving you peace of mind. Second, it gives you more time to work. Using our competitors oxygen absorbers, you’ll have to rush to package your food. With ours, you have up to 90 minutes to package your food, without significant loss to your actual capacity.
